HAMDEN – The Hamden Community Service Awards Dinner will be held on Saturday, March 30 at 6 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, 175 School St.
Cindy Simell-Devoe will be honored as Outstanding Citizen, Matthew Fitch as Outstanding Public Servant, Kevin Recca as Outstanding Fire Fighter and Andrew Pfeiffer as Outstanding Police Officer.
The evening begins with Social Hour at 6 p.m., dinner at 7, followed by the awards ceremony. Hors d’oeuvres, boneless stuffed breast of chicken entrée (call by 3/23 for vegetarian alternative), coffee and dessert will be served.
Tickets are $30 per person and there will be a cash bar. Open seating, but prepaid groups of 8 to 10 may reserve a table. The public is invited to attend.
Tickets are available at the Elks Lodge Wednesday through Friday after 4:00 p.m. and weekends after 12 noon or by calling Carl Amento at 203-444-1782 or Phil Wilson at 203-248-6800. Ticket purchases may be made by credit card by calling the Lodge at 203 248-2224 during those times.
The annual awards event is sponsored by the Hamden Elks, serving the communities of Hamden and North Haven. Proceeds will support the Hamden Elks Lodge and its youth, veterans, Americanism and other charitable programs.
