North Haven Police searching for man who broke into restaurant’s outdoor freezer

NORTH HAVEN – The North Haven Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the man they say broke into an outside storage freezer at a Washington Avenue restaurant Saturday morning.

The incident happened at about 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21, according to police. The incident was captured on surveillence video.

The man is described as “a white male with a bald head, approximately 5’10, stocky build in his late 40s or early 50s, wearing a long sleeve sweatshirt and blue jeans,” according to police.

“This man broke the lock to the freezer and removed over $800 worth of the restaurant’s products,” according to a police release. He can be seen in the video leaving the restaurant in a silver van/cross over type vehicle, police said.
